New approaches to empower children’s learning,
efficacy and aspirations
Ongoing Project 1
DIY controller project Children connect fruits or other conductive materials to microcontrollers like MaKey MaKey using alligator clips. They then engage in playing Scratch games, learning to code, and familiarizing themselves with foreign languages of their choice. This hands-on project not only teaches the basics of electronics and programming but also encourages creativity and exploration in a fun and interactive way to learn new languages.
Ongoing Project 2
Bracelet project Children create bracelets and other wearables with recyclable materials. They make conductivity testing boards to evaluate products and understand the differences between conductive and non-conductive materials. In conjunction with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, children discuss the importance of affordable and clean energy, responsible consumption and production, building sustainable cities and communities, etc.
